Hi! My name is Mandy, and I am 6 yrs. old! (That's me in my room!) I use a wheelchair because I have Cerebral Palsy and my leg muscles won't work the way I want them to. That doesn't slow me down, tho! My mom says I'm like Mighty Mouse (whoever that is!)
Let me tell you a bit about me! I was adopted from this really neat orphanage called the Mouse Pad! I have lots of friends there, and all over the world! Some of us have special needs, and some of us don't. Mom says all kids are special no matter what needs they have, anyway.
I spend a lot of time in my room. Here I paint on my easel and play with my building blocks(Mom says its good for my fine motor skills... but who cares, I just have fun!) - see? I made a tower!
Registration # 8 I was adopted on May 14, 1998. I am so lucky! I love my new home, where I can share my experiences with you, and maybe you can share yours with me, too! Do you have a special need? Or know anyone who does? We're not really different from anyone else, except that I might like something that you don't. Like fish! I love my fish. I stare at them when I am doing my physiotherapy. Mom and I work together to stretch my muscles so they don't get all tensed up while I'm sitting in my wheelchair all day. Sometimes it hurts a bit, but mostly it feels relaxing!
I have a lot of interests. My favorite colours are pink and yellow (I chose the colours for my room, pretty huh?) :) Guess what my favorite food is? It's cheese of course! Have you ever heard of a mouse who doesn't love cheese?! *grin* But my favorite thing to do in the whole wide world (or should I say web) is to meet new friends like you!
